Just For Now

“Nothing about this thing we have is a bad thing. I’m not gonna lie about it: I don’t deserve you. I’m sure as hell not good enough for you, but as long as you want me,
  I’m all yours.”

― Abbi GlinesJust for Now

So Sweet and Sexy!

Just when I thought Abbi Glines has reached the climax of her writing career (well at least for me, lol) by giving us Cage York, I guess I was completely wrong! Well, it just keeps getting better and better and HOTTER!!!

Sure I fell in love with Sadie and Jax in Breathe, came to adore Low and Marcus in Because of Low, left me all hot and bothered with Eva and Cage in While it Last. But believe me when I say that Amanda and Preston’s story blew me away! Just For Now was absolutely worth the wait. Something about the book that will surely make your heart melt (and beg for more)!

I always thought Preston as a “wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am” kind of person (well at least this is how he portrayed himself in the previous books). I, for one did not expect him to be such a revelation that I came to know and love surprisingly more than Cage (sorry Cage darling, but pls. know that you will always have my heart).  Aside from his obvious oozing sexiness, he redeemed himself as someone with a bigger heart. Someone who is willing to do anything for his siblings to keep them nurtured and protected, even to the point of taking an absurd job, just to provide for them. Not wanting his friends to know about his crisis, Preston puts up the façade of a stone-hearted guy, whose only interest is to screw anything that moves…until he falls hard for something unexpectedly.

Amanda, Marcus’ little sister is a sweetheart! She’s the famous little girl in Sea Breeze that everyone is so protective of. From Rock, Dwayne even Cage became such big brothers to her and who are willing to beat the crap out of anyone who will try to mess up with her. She appreciates the concern, but Amanda felt that she has grown up enough to protect and decide for herself. That includes “Preston”. She wanted him since she was sixteen and she was more than determined to do everything to have him.

Their story was not an easy, a lot of ups and downs, highs and lows…with Preston thinking he is not good enough for her, and Amanda at one point already getting tired of running after him. But its true when they say that after all that has been said and done, “True Love has the power of making you believe what you would normally treat with deepest suspicion”. It’s like a quicksand; the deeper you fall in it, the harder it is to get out. No matter how hard Preston and Amanda deny themselves from it, they know that deep down inside their hearts that they belong together.

This book is everything I have hoped and so much more! Truly a must read especially for all you “Abbi Glinesers” out there! So go grab the book and indulge yourself!
